My First Blog

Hello all, I am Andrew and welcome to my blog. On this I hope to get out what only my friends have had the privilege of getting to hear, now I get to foist my thoughts on the world! Bwahahahahahah! My general interests are baseball (Red Sox), politics (Libertarianism), atheism, beer and music (Rock and or Roll).

We shall start this by doing a brief synopsis of my main topics.

Baseball (Red Sox)
They are awesome. Full stop. After years of doing the wrong thing and signing and drafting poorly the ownership and management have been going the right way. After 86 years of no championships they have 2 new ones (2004, 2007). The offence is amazing, the defence is amazing and the pitching is amazing and hugely deep! Go BOSOX!

Politics (Libertarianism)
I used to be a big "C" conservative but now I am most assuredly a Libertarian. There is too much of a nanny state in Canada and the taxes are WAAAAY too high! I am for socialised medicine, a safety net (unemployment insurance/welfare) for those that really need it and only for a short time. The government should be in charge of infrastructure, military, policing and education but that is it! Do we need them to babysit our kids? Make stupid laws that are not enforceable (cell phones in cars, smoking in cars)? It just adds to expense and are quite pointless.

Atheism
God is an invention of man.

Beer
Beer is good. Good beer is better. These are good beers: Guinness, Kilkenny, Newcastle Brown Ale, Boddingtons, Weisbeer etc.
These are bad beers: Anything "Lite", Bud, Coors, Blue or Canadian.

Music
I like all types of music to varying degrees. Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Rhythm and Blues, Rap. My favourite though is Led Zeppelin. There is no band better and I will fight you over that.
