Queen: If I didn't put Queen up here both Steve and James would have my head. The musicianship was amazing and they were one of the few bands that had 3 quality lead singers. And the weird thing is that the quiet one, the one that didn't sing (Deacon) was the most successful songwriter according to the charts. (Suggested listening: Stone Cold Crazy)

Sloan: These East Coasters hit the scene in 1991 and I didn't like them, didn't like them one bit. They came in on the wave of grunge and on the subpop label and I hated that. However, as they grew and polished their songs I began to love them. I have met a couple of the guys in the band and they are just as nice as you would think rockers from Canada would be. They are what catchy rock-pop should be. (Suggested listening: Chester The Molester)

Odds: Don't really know much about them but I do know what I like. They were a very good pop-rock group and had humour but also solid skills. (Suggested listening: Heterosexual Man)

BTO: Four fat white guys rocking out. What's not to like? (Suggested listening: Looking Out For Number One)
